MY NEW BIKE
Street Photography
For more than a year I had been looking for a new bicycle. Each time I got one, it ended up stolen or broken. (This statement is 100% fictional).
Since a young age I was drawn to see street objects as subjects of poetry and sources of inanimated life.
My New Bike is a street photo series capturing broken and abandoned bicycles. Taken in Amsterdam, Milan, Lisbon, Warsaw, Marseille, Paris, Malta, and Rome, the photos trace how objects meant for movement and freedom end up rusted, bent, or forgotten in the street.
